The policy every contract asks for.
Landing the client, signing the lease, starting the job — sooner or later someone slides a contract across the table and asks for your liability certificate. CGL is the policy that answers. I make sure yours is right, fast, and fairly priced.
CGL looks simple. That's exactly why it's dangerous.
Everyone sells CGL, which means everyone assumes it's a commodity. It isn't. The exclusions page is where policies differ — professional services carved out, products excluded, subcontractor work uninsured. A cheap CGL with the wrong exclusions is just an expensive piece of paper.
I read the exclusions before you have to learn them the hard way, then I shop your CGL across 60+ markets so the price is as sharp as the wording is solid.
What's covered
Every risk is different, so every policy is built — not pulled off a shelf. Here's what a commercial general liability program typically includes:
Bodily injury & property damage
The core promise: if your operations hurt someone or damage their property, you're covered.
Products & completed operations
Your work and your products, covered after they've left your hands.
Personal & advertising injury
Libel, slander, and advertising disputes — the lawsuits nobody sees coming.
Tenant's legal liability
Damage to premises you rent — the clause your landlord's lease demands.
Medical payments
Goodwill coverage that resolves small injuries before they become big claims.
Certificates on demand
Additional insureds, waivers, project-specific certs — issued fast, because deals don't wait.
How it works
Ten minutes on the phone. What you run, what you own, what keeps you up at night. No forms, no phone trees.
I take your file to 60+ insurers and specialty markets through Aaxel and make them compete for your business.
Clear options, straight numbers, coverage that actually fits. You decide — I handle the paperwork.
CGL for Ontario businesses of every shape
Contractors in the GTA, consultants in Toronto, retailers in Mississauga, startups in Brampton — whatever your business does, there's a CGL built for it. Tell me your industry and your contracts, and I'll match the policy to both.
Questions, answered
How much CGL do I need?
Most small businesses carry $1M–$2M; contracts, leases, and municipalities often require $2M–$5M. I'll align your limit with what your clients and contracts actually demand — not a guess.
What's the difference between CGL and professional liability?
CGL covers bodily injury, property damage, and related claims from your operations. Professional liability (E&O) covers financial losses from your advice or services. Many businesses need both — they're different policies.
Can I get a certificate today?
Usually, yes. Same-day certificates and additional-insured endorsements are standard in how I work — because I've watched deals stall over paperwork.
How do I get a quote?
Call or text me at 226-543-1313, or email sukhman.buttar@aaxelinsurance.com. Tell me what you need covered and I'll shop it across 60+ insurers and specialty markets — most quotes come back within one business day.
What areas do you serve?
I'm based in Mississauga and work with clients across the GTA and all of Ontario. Through Aaxel Insurance Brokers Ltd., coverage can also be placed in Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.
