Commercial insurance · British ColumbiaBC commercial insurance, shopped properly.
I'm Sukhman Buttar, a commercial broker licensed in British Columbia. I place CGL, commercial property, commercial auto, and specialty coverage for Lower Mainland businesses, from Surrey trucking to Vancouver contractors, through multiple markets.
BC businesses deserve more than one quote.
Too many BC businesses renew with the same insurer year after year because shopping feels like work. That is exactly what a broker is for. I take your operation to multiple commercial markets and make them compete.
One thing BC owners should know: ICBC provides basic Autoplan coverage, but the commercial liability, property, and optional auto side is a competitive private market. That is where I earn my keep, structuring limits and deductibles around how you actually operate.
Built for this risk, not pulled off a shelf.
Commercial general liability
The contract requirement: $2M to $5M+ limits that satisfy landlords, municipalities, and general contractors.
Commercial property
Buildings, tenant improvements, equipment, and stock, valued the way a claim would actually be paid.
Commercial auto beyond ICBC
Optional auto, fleets, and hired/non-owned coverage layered on top of basic Autoplan.
Contractors and installation
Wrap-ups, installation floaters, and tools coverage for BC's construction economy.
Goods in transit
Cargo and equipment moving between the Lower Mainland, the Island, and cross-border.
Cyber and professional liability
Data, privacy, and errors-and-omissions protection for service businesses.

Placed through Aaxel, shopped across markets.
I arrange coverage through Aaxel Insurance Brokers Ltd., an independent Ontario brokerage based in Mississauga. Independent means the file goes to multiple markets, not one company's shelf.
You get one broker who knows your operation, backed by a brokerage with real underwriter relationships, in-house claims support, and the volume to get files looked at properly.
Markets I shop for you.

From first call to covered.
Tell me about the operation
Units, drivers, property, revenue. The real picture, not the renewal summary.
I package the file
Clean schedules, documented safety practices, loss runs that tell the right story.
Markets compete
I take it to multiple markets through Aaxel and let them fight over it.
You get straight options
Clear numbers side by side, with my read on which one actually fits.
I stay on the file
Certificates, claims, renewals. I do not disappear after the policy is issued.
Commercial insurance for Vancouver, Surrey, and the Lower Mainland
I work with businesses across Vancouver, Surrey, Burnaby, Richmond, and the Fraser Valley: distributors, contractors, retailers, and trucking operations. Port logistics, cross-border runs, and BC's construction cycle shape how I build these programs.
Questions I hear a lot.
Does ICBC cover my commercial vehicles completely?
ICBC covers basic Autoplan, but commercial liability limits, cargo, hired and non-owned auto, and US exposure sit in the private market. That is the part I build.
Can an Ontario-based broker really handle BC business?
Yes. I am licensed in British Columbia and place through markets that write BC risk every day. Your time zone is the only difference you will notice.
What does a BC commercial package usually cost?
It depends on revenue, payroll, property values, and loss history. Send me your current policy and I will show you exactly where the money goes, and where it could go instead.
